Blockfolio was a mobile-first cryptocurrency portfolio tracking app founded in 2014 that had over 6 million cumulative downloads and 150 million monthly impressions at its peak. In August 2020, FTX acquired Blockfolio for approximately $150 million (paid in cash, crypto, and equity) as a strategic move to attract retail customers to its primarily institutional exchange. Following the acquisition, the app was rebranded under FTX and integrated with trading functionality.
